This series has always kind of wandered aimlessly. But with this book the author didn’t even bother with a plot. It is just some people wandering around talking. Sisavath has gotten lazy.And the “voice in the head” thing was mildly amusing with Keo, but now it’s just plain obnoxious. Luckily the author puts “the voice” in italics so I can just skip over those parts. Come on Sam write something original. This book is beneath you. My written reviews are always for the author. Readers just count my stars. Sam, I've 5 stared every other book of yours I've read, and I believe that's all of them. it physically hurts me to leave this review because I have enjoyed your work immensely. I truly hope that there is another book in the series being worked on. However, I’m not sure because there is no mention of another book and Amazon is advertising this like a four book series, and even if there is a fifth, sixth, or more books to come you did not leave this book with what anyone would call a cliffhanger. More like jumping out of an airplane without a parachute. Dude, don’t let us down. You’ve got faithful readers out there and this was a disappointment. You ended it poorly and I know you can do far better than that.I haven’t abandoned you yet, so write on dude.
